Is Bunscoil lán-Ghaeilge í Scoil na Fuiseoige agus is é príomhaidhm na scoile oideachas bunscolaíochta trí mheán na Gaeilge a chur ar fáil do pháistí idir ceithre bliana agus bliain déag d’aois.
Tá sé mar aidhm ag an Scoil caoinfhulaingt agus comhthuiscint a chothú i gcúrsaí creidimh, polaitíochta, cultúir agus teanga. Is rún linn go mbeidh tuiscint ag an pháiste ar a dtír féin agus ar an domhan a bhfuil muid beo ann.
D’eascair Scoil na Fuiseoige as an éacht a rinne tuismitheoirí thart ar Chill Bhuí tumoideachas Gaeilge a thabhairt chuig a gceantar féin agus is trí iarrachtaí agus rannpháirteachas na dtuismitheoirí a leanfaidh forbairt an tumoideachais ar aghaidh. Bíonn an scoil ag dreim le tuismitheoirí bheith rannphairteach go hiomlán agus go héifeachtach in oiliúint a gcuid páistí agus in imeachtaí na scoile.
Is cuid dhílis de phobal na Gaeilge í Scoil na Fuiseoige atá ag tabhairt a oidhreachta cultúrtha don chéad ghlúin eile. Tá tacaíocht phobal na Gaeilge, instidiúidí pobail agus rialtais de dhíth le riachtanais na ndaltaí a fhreastalaíonn ár scoil a chur ar fáil i ngach gné dá saoil.
Déantar oideachas leathan agus cothrom a sholáthar do na páistí de réir a riachtanais féin. Spreagtar agus cuidítear leo a gcumas iomlán a fhorbairt – go hoideachasúil, go pearsanta, go soisialta agus go fisiciúil.
Aims of the School
Scoil na Fuiseoige is an Irish-medium school and the school’s main aim is to provide an Irish-medium education for primary school children in the age range 4-11 years.
The school aims to promote tolerance and mutual understanding in the areas of religion, politics, culture and language. We hope to develop an understanding of the land and of the world in which we live.
Scoil na Fuiseoige has emerged as a result of the enormous effort of parents to provide Irish-medium education in the Twinbrook area. It is only through the continued effort and support of parents that this type of education can thrive and develop. The school strives to fully and effectively involve parents in the education of their children and in the activities of the school.
Scoil na Fuiseoige is an integral part of the Irish speaking community in Belfast which faithfully passes it’s heritage on to the next generation. The support of the existing Irish-speaking community along with that of public and Government institutions is necessary so that the needs of the children who attend our school are met in every area of their lives.
A broad and balanced curriculum is provided for each child according to his needs. Children are encouraged and assisted to develop their full potential – educationally, personally, socially and physically.
